"I pledge to help mobilize fellow Missouri residents in support of a ballot initiative in 2010 to constitutionally protect real estate property from a real estate transfer tax.

"I believe that a real estate transfer tax would be a form of double taxation; would lower a homeowner's equity; would negatively impact the process of buying and selling a home; and would unfairly target property owners and lower income residents alike."
